The act of violence should be condemned in every manner and form!

The disturbing photos depicting what is unfolding in KOKOYA DISTRICT is uncivilized and a total act of vandalism!

This act of violence and vandalism should be condemned by all well meaning citizens of Bong county! Destroying properties belonging to MNG mining company in order to demonstrate anyone anger is totally unacceptable in a modern society. We should be cognizant of the fact that violence cannot solved problems. We have tested that theory in Liberia and come to a logical conclusion that it has never done us well. The evidence are visible and right before our eyes!

The tragic motor accident that occurred yesterday leaving 4 persons killed in Kokoya District should not cause people to destroy the company properties.

In as much as we have some disappointments and disagreements with the manner in which the company is handling some health and sanitation issues,we should not resolved our disagreements to vandalizing the company properties.

This act will even create more economy problems for us. Remembered there are others citizens of Bong county that are employed by this company. Let us always use the laws of Liberia to settle our differences.

We also thank the Liberian National Police for their swift deployment and involvement in this situations. We hope those who are responsible will be brought to justice.
